Turkeys, Chickens, and One Last Call for Pizza
Good morning everyone!
We had a fabulous pizza night last night. Our very own Leta Millsap provided some excellent music and the fall flavors shone on all the pizzas (my personal favorite is the one with truffle oil…I think I ate 8 slices of that one alone).

We still have a handful of spots left for our FINAL pizza night tonight. We’ll have the same menu and our music will be a couple members of the crowd-favorite Deja Crew. The weather looks great so, if you don’t have plans, we’d love to see you and yours.
While sending this email, I should mention our Pasture-Raised Poultry options again. We’ve got the orders coming in for Thanksgiving Turkeys but there are plenty to go around! For more information on why Pasture-Raised makes such a big difference, check out those products on our online farm stand.

Thanksgiving Turkey Deposit

Hello friends! We’re excited to be working with our friend John Brenneman, an Amish farmer located in Conway, MO, to provide the Springfield area with fresh, organically raised turkeys. John has these turkeys out on grass 24/7 in open-air pens and they eat grass, bugs, and an organic grain ration. Trust us, grass-fed, pasture-raised meats have a flavor and texture far superior to your typical store-bought turkeys. In addition to that, pasture-raised poultry tends to be significantly higher in Omega 3, Vitamin E, Iron, and other essential nutrients.
These will be available for pickup from the farm on November 24, 4–7pm.
Turkeys will be $5.50/lb. We’ll try to honor size preferences, but the turkeys will ultimately determine what we’re able to provide! It will be first come, first serve on pick up day.
Pasture-Raised Whole Chicken

Our broilers at Nature’s Family Farm are raised in movable pens and are fed certified organic grain. They are moved to fresh pasture twice a day for better forage consumption, resulting in healthier (and tastier) birds.
Raised on pasture and fed locally milled organic feed, these birds have lived a good life and now they can nourish you and your family. Access to pasture means these birds have been able to express their natural behaviors of pecking and scratching and foraging under the sun. Never confined and always exposed to natural light, pastured organic chicken makes for the highest quality chicken meat. All this leads to happy healthy birds and nutrient dense food. We’re grateful to offer these for y’all this Summer!
These birds will vary by about a pound, the smallest ones are 4 1/2 pounds, the largest one closer to six. They will be noticeably larger than what you are used to from the grocery store.
